The GROUP MESSAGES tab contains a message board for all the members of your group to keep in touch. Once within GROUP MESSAGES you will be able to CREATE MESSAGE and REPLY to messages. You will also find a short cut that will allow you to access your EMAIL PREFERENCES.
When creating a message you click CREATE MESSAGE and a pop up window will appear in the format of an email. Once you message is completed you will Have two additional options to enable or disable. You can opt to send an emailed copy of the message to your fellow group members or not . You will also be able to select whether or not you would like all your members to be able to receive all replies to your message. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT EVERY RESPONSE TO YOUR MESSAGE WILL SEND OUT A NOTIFICATION EACH AND EVERY TIME A COMMENT IS ADDED. This will cause a lot of emails to be sent and is not recommended unless your group is small.
If your fellow group members who have the notifications turned on, they will receive an email from Gust advising them of your post. They can either reply directly to the email with their own comment or log into Gust and click on the comment to see everyone's comments and then post their response.
The GROUP MESSAGES board is an open forum that ALL members of your group to see. If you would like to keep certain messages private to a deal or within a sub-group, please make sure to post those comments or concerns within the DEAL's or SUB-GROUP message boards.
Lastly, every message board has its own email address. As a member of a group you are able to forward messages into your group via Gust by emailing the message board directly. Just create an email as normal and send it directly to the message board. Once the message is sent and posted all members of your group that have access to that message board will receive an emailed notification from Gust with your message.
