How to email a new deal into your group

You can create a deal in Gust by sending or forwarding an email to your new submissions email address: (newsubmissions@YourGroupName.groups.gust.com).
Remember these simple rules to use the new submissions work-flow:

  • You must use the "To:" filed for the email (e.g. newsubmissions@YourGroupName.groups.gust.com).  Do not use "CC" or "BCC."
  • The deal name defined item in the subject of the message will become the Deal Name. (ie: Deal Name = ABC General)
  • The files attached to the email (up to 10MB) will be added to the Documents tab of the deal.
  • The body of the message will be posted as a Message in the deal.

This will speed things up, and allow you to start tracking ALL your deals in Gust.

For a more advanced feature we have created a email address for each stage your group creates. So now you can email a deal directly into your Gust Group and have it located at any stage that wish to locate it.

Please use the following email format when you want to email into a specific stage:

stagename@YourGroupName.groups.gust.com

(Example: inprogress@acmeventures.groups.gust.com or passed@acmeventures.groups.gust.com)

In Progress and Passed are named stages for the group of Acme Venture and if you were to email a deal using one of those email addresses the deal would be located under "In Progress" or "Passed" Deal Stage.

Please understand this is in addition to the aforementioned criteria that is needed to title your deal.
