Configuring Deal Stages

Admins can customize your Deal Stages to fit with your team's work flow and screening process.  This may be the most important organizing principal of your Gust Account.  You can edit the "sub-stages" within the four main categories.  This means you can change the categories under "New", "In Progress", "Invested", or "Inactive". Changes to the deal stages affect everyone's deals in your Gust account.  For example, if you change "Screening" to "Monitoring" users in your account will see deals marked "Screening" replaced with "Monitoring."  Editing the deal stages are simple and you can do it right from the Deal List tab.  Once they are in place, you will move a deal from one stage to another.

To edit the sub-stages:

 1.  From the Deal List tab inside the Deal Stage box click "Edit."

2.  Using the up / down arrows you can reorganize the substages that are already in place.

3.  You can also delete deal stages by selecting the delete function next to the stage. If there are any deals within that stage you will be asked to move them to another stage at that time.

 4.  Click add stage to create your own sub-stages.  Create a new stage name, and then select a parent stage.  This will automatically be added to your account's deal list under the selected parent stage.
