You and your members on Gust have the ability to rate and review deals that you and your group is associated with. The rating system is very easy to use and allows you and your team to collaborate on deals, understand the thoughts of each member on a specific deal, and filter deals by ratings.

How to Rate a Deal

In order to rate and review a specific deal, simply click on a specific deal name to enter the deal room. You can then either scroll down to the bottom of the page or click the Rate & Review button to be taken directly to that area.

Rating the Deal

If this is the first time that you are rating this deal, a box will appear that is completely blank. You can then assign a number to each section and leave comments. You are able to edit your review after it has been completed. Simply click the edit button and the same box will appear, only with your previous ratings.

The ratings will never be made available to the entrepreneur, only to members of your group. Even then, admins can adjust the availability of such reviews in the settings, making them only visible at certain times or to certain members (more info in the Customize Rating & Reviewing section)

The numbers that you assign each section will generate a percentage that you have rated this particular deal. This is your individual rating on this deal; each member that rates this deal will have their own individual percentage. Each deal will then have an overall rating that is tabulated based on all the individual ratings it has received. 

Customize Rating & Reviewing

As mentioned, admins have the ability to customize the rating and review system, including which specific areas are rated, the rating scale used, and who has access to view all the ratings.

 In order to customize the actual reviewing process, admins can select the customize button on the actual rating screen or by going through the Admin tab and selecting the Preferences. The settings can be adjusted in Deal Preferences section.

Here, admins can decide what specific areas are to be reviewed.  You can add in as many areas that you wish, and they will be displayed under the heading ratings category. If the check box next to the respective field is selected, then it will be shown and is required to be reviewed. You can also adjust the scale that the categories are rated on.

Admins can also set the visibility of each members review. By selecting the check box next to the Hide aggregated and other users' ratings, you can adjust the settings for each member. You can choose to have each section remain unseen by members or have them only viewable once their rating is completed. You can also decide to revoke the administrative powers for visibility (admins by default have total access to the reviews whether regular members do or do not).

Referring Members to Rate & Review

Gust also allows you to request that other members of your group rate specific deals. By taking advantage of the create alert button, you can send an automatic email to members of your group that allows them to see exactly what deal(s) you are referring to, and what action you want them to take. By clicking on this button, a window will appear where you can chose who to send this message to, edit the body of the message, and embed links that will take the recipient to exact location they need to be.

Rating and reviewing deals is an effective way to not only research deals and post your thoughts for members to see, but also to be able to filter deals based on overall percentages
